THE LECTURE BY DR RORY MILLER ON “200 YEARS OF BRITISH BUSINESS IN PERU” HAD A PACKED AUDITORIUM

On Wednesday 27 February, the Embassy of Peru organized, in partnership with the Anglo Peruvian Society and Canning House, the Lecture “200 Years of British Business in Peru” by Dr Rory Miller.

The event had a packed auditorium among members of UK government, business representatives, academics, students and friends of Peru.

The lecture was held just after inPERU investment road show took place in London, which brought to UK a senior delegation from the public and private sector of Peru led by the Minister of Economy and Finance.

Dr Miller has been a Reader in International Business History at the University of Liverpool and a Joint Editor of the Journal of Latin American Studies, published by Cambridge University. In 2011, he published the book “Empresas Británicas, economia y política en el Perú, 1850 - 1934” with Instituto de Estudios Peruanos.

He is also a trustee of Canning House.

After the event, guests enjoyed our traditional Pisco Sour.
