PERUVIAN CONGRESSWOMAN, PALOMA NOCEDA, PARTICIPATES IN MEETING ON DRUG POLICY REFORM, HELD AT CHATHAM HOUSE

On 7 March 2019, Peruvian Congresswoman, Paloma Noceda, participated in a roundtable meeting called “Drug Policy Reform: Evidence from Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean so far”.

The event was hosted in partnership with the UK All Parliamentary Group for Drug Policy Reform and Chatham House, and included invited parliamentarians from South Africa, South America and the Caribbean to provide their insights on drug policy reforms in their countries.

Ms Noceda explained the link between Peruvian drug policy to combat drug trafficking and the Sustainable Development Goals, presenting the case of alternative crops such as coffee and cocoa in Alto Huallaga region.
