OPENING SESSION OF THE CONFERENCE ‘ART AND CINEMA IN THE 21st CENTURY PERU: AESTHETICS, POLITICS AND PLATFROM’ TOOK PLACE AT THE INSTITUTE OF LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES

On 20th June a two-day conference “Art and Cinema in 21st Century Peru: Aesthetics, Politics, and Platform”, organised by Institute of Latin American Studies started at the Garden Halls, University of London.

The event is a valuable space for the debate on the current trends and developments in Peruvian cinema, featuring directors, producers, academics, and critics interacting and focusing on the aesthetics and politics involved in the films on comment in the conference.

During the opening session, Ambassador Juan Carlos Gamarra highlighted that the event is taking place at a moment when important Peruvian works are highly appreciated.
