Peru participated in the 125th Session of the Coffee Council and associated meetings, from 23 to 27 September. #Internationalcoffeeorganization
Within the framework of the meeting , CEOs and Global leaders of the private coffee sector adopted the 'London Declaration' in which they suggest concrete actions to face the current crisis of low coffee prices.
Additionally, the '9th Consultative Forum for Coffee Finance' was also held, in which members endorsed the dialogue regarding access to financial resources for farmers in all the scales, specially for small actors.
As demonstration of its increased commitment to the important work of the ICO, Peru joined three working groups for the 2019-2020 term: the Projects Committee, the Finance and Administration Committee and the Promotion and Development of the Coffee Market Committee.
Finally, it was announced that the 126th Session of the Coffee Council will take place between 27 April and 1 May 2020 in London. Moreover, the next World Coffee Conference will be held in 2020 in Bangalore, India.
